Lumbago
What is it?
Pain in the lower back, or lumbar region, it can be so severe that the back locks. Symptoms may be caused by strained back musles or ligaments, a slipped disc or displacement of a vertebra.
Symptoms:
Lower back pain, strained back muscle, slipped disc.
Conventional Practice:
Doctor often advise rest in bed with a board under the mattress for extra firmness, they may also prescribe painkillers. Some conventional doctors may also use alternative treatments such as manipulative therapies or acupuncture.
Alternative Treatments:
  Acupuncture
