What is it?
Rubeola or measles is spread by direct or close contact and, after an incubation period of eight to 15 days causes fever, a dry cough and sore eyes, followed by brownish -pink rash over the entire body. Complications arising from measles, which are common in adults, include ear infections, pneumonia and, rarely, brain inflammation, Warning Measles is a notifiable disease and you must report any suspected case to your doctor.

Conventional Practice:
There is no cure for measles, although secondary ear infections or pneumonia respond to antibiotics. Conventional advise to measles patient is to rest, drink extra fluids and take paracetamol to reduce fever and ease discomfort.
