Claustrophobia
What is it?
Is a fear of crowded places and being shut up in small spaces. The symptoms are of tension, Hyperventilation, rapid pulse and sweating.
Symptoms:
Fear of crowds, fear of small spaces, rapid pulse and sweating.
Conventional Practice:
A case history is prepared and tests may be made to check if the problem is caused by anxiety. Treatment for severe anxiety may include counselling and tranquillises.
