Foot problems
What is it?
Ill-fitting shoes are the cause of most common foot problems, such as corns and bunions. Ingrowing toenails usually affect the big toe and cut into surrounding skin, becoming painful and sometimes infected. Flat feet is a condition that tends to occur in small children and in older people. Veruccas are contagious and often picked up in school changing rooms, showers or swimming baths. They are painful warts that grow into the skin of the sole of the foot.
Symptoms:
Corns, bunions, ingrowing toenails, flat feet and veruccas.
Conventional Practice:
Conventional practitioners suggest properly fitting shoes and advise that nails should be cut straight across only. Antibiotics would be prescribed in the case of infection. Standard treatment is to pare the dead skin from the surface of a verucca.
