What is it?
Small hard, pebbles form from liquid bile in the gall bladder. Sometimes a stone gets stuck in a duct and causes biliary colic. If the gall bladder becomes inflamed, fever with pain in the upper abdomen and tenderness under the ribs may result. Occasionally gallstones block the flow of fluids from the pancreas, causing inflammation and pain. Warning Gallstones are only one of many possible causes of severe abdominal pain. If pain persists for more than four hours, consult your doctor immediately.

Conventional Practice:
Stones that do cause pain or inflammation are removed surgically, together with the gall bladder. Occasionally small stones can be dissolved by drugs or by sound waves.
Alternative Treatments:
