What is it?
Drinking too much alcohol usually result in hangover. A person with hangover is suffering from dehydration and the symptoms include nausea and vomitting, tiredness and headache. To prevent a hangover do not drink on an empty stomach. Drink plenty of water beforehand. Some people find that a glass of milk to be an effective substitute for water, others swear by a dessert spoon of oil. With a hangover water is the best drink to replace fluids and eating a slice of dry wholemeal toast will help to replace the blood sugar which the alcohol destroy and so help reduce weakness, dizziness and trembling. Fresh air should also help to clear the head.

Doctors mostly agree that time is the best cure. Stay in bed, keep warm and take painkillers.
