I’m not asking you to alter anything (at least not yet *grin*); I’m asking you to become more conscious of the lovely body that contains your soul and to really care for it.
Begin by keeping track of what you eat.
Ask yourself a few questions to help you become more conscious of what you’re eating, such as:
- Is it true that I’m consuming fresh fruits and vegetables?
- Is it true that I’m consuming entire grains?
- Is the water I’m drinking pure?
- Is the bulk of my food packaged or delivered in a box?
- Is it possible that I’m becoming more aware of my portion sizes?
- Do I read the labels on the packaged goods that I consume?
- Is it true that I’m taking the time to savor the meal and truly taste and chew my food?
- Am I eating organic foods free of additives & pesticides?
- How do you feel after eating processed meals vs. healthy foods?
- Is it more important for me to eat emotionally or consciously?

A Day in the Life of a Self-Taught Hippie
I’m currently having a lima bean, fresh jalapeno & spinach quesadilla on an organic wrap with fresh cherries! So here’s a day in the life of what I eat throughout the day:
- 09:00 am – 16 oz hot lemon water with cayenne & green tea (I was running late so I combined my lemon water with the green tea)
- 10:30 am – 2 orange slices & 1/2 Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Cinnamon Raisin English muffin – Plain
- 01:00 pm – Large Salad: Artisan Purple & Green Lettuce, Romaine, Alfalfa Sprouts, Raw Cabbage, 1/2 Avocado, 1 Carrot, 1 Orange Slice – Homemade Sesame Tahini Dressing (recipe will be posted soon) – 16 oz Cranberry Juice Water after Salad
- 3:45 p.m. – 01:45 p.m. Jack’s French Fries (Not the finest option, but they’re Jack’s, which in my view means they’re the best in the world! There were just three of us! And, yes, this is a normal portion!)
- 02:45 p.m. – 16 oz. honeyed dandelion tea
- 03:00 p.m. – Veggie Soup with Cabbage, White Onion, Green Onion, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrots, Black Beans, Fire Roasted Tomatoes, Broth, Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Basil, and Herbs de Provence
- 6-8 oz. at 05:30 p.m. Apple, pear, lemon juice, water, kale, parsley, cilantro, and celery mixed into a green shake
- 7:00 p.m. – Thai Rice Bowl with Brown Rice, Coconut Milk, Carrots, Red Onion, Turmeric, Cilantro, and Red Pepper
- 16 oz. at 7:30 p.m. Water
- 08:30 pm – Another bowl of Thai Rice with a small cup of coffee following with coconut sugar, cardamom & almond milk
- Snacks: a handful of pretzels, a banana, and one piece of organic cacao coconut dark chocolate (50%)
